The Better Edge Lawn Care
The Better Edge Lawn Care · Lynchburg, VA
The business
Mowing and landscaping: weekly and every-two-week cuts, mulching, bush trimming, leaves, aeration, seeding, tree work, brush removal and more.
- About 90 mowing customers and 60 landscaping customers
- Around 900 cuts and 150 landscaping jobs so far this year
- Paid five ways: cash, check, Venmo, Zelle and Cash App
The problem
No system. Customers, schedules, money, to-dos and personal bills all lived in the same two spreadsheets, and they had grown past the point of use.
- Every week's route retyped by hand
- Every month's totals added up by hand, when they got added at all
- Prices, payments and jobs buried in free text

Summary
The Better Edge Lawn Care ran on one overgrown spreadsheet. Customers, schedules, money and personal bills sat side by side. After long days of lawn work, Nate spent hours retyping routes and totals by hand. Levolve sorted through the data and built a system with a tab for each part of the business: customers and their plans, every job, a schedule that builds itself, a receipt for every payment, and a dashboard that adds up each month. It tracks money, jobs and unpaid invoices on its own. Nate picks a name, enters a date and marks it paid. The evenings and weekends came back, and the business keeps growing.
